Paris Colloquium Update

Arrived in Paris on Saturday. This morning, I presented "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Fissile Material? How the NPT´s Preamble and Article V Can Help To Properly Interpret Articles III and IV" at Assessing the Ability of the IAEA to Safeguard Peaceful Nuclear Energy, a colloquium held at Centre de Conférences Internationales of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), and hosted by the French MFA, the Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique, and the Nonproliferation Policy Education Center (NPEC). I was on a panel that included Dr. Pierre Goldschmidt, the former IAEA Deputy Director General for Safeguards, and Dr. Graham Andrew, the IAEA Director General´s Special Assistant for Science and Technology. I learned a lot, and really enjoyed the day.

The PowerPoint presentations of Goldschmidt, Andrew, as well as other colloquium presenters, are available on NPEC's website.
