ElBaradei on Iran's Industrial Nuclear Fuel-Making

Daniel Dombey of the Financial Times gets the views of Mohammed ElBaradei, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), on Iran, a signatory of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) which:

• the IAEA's Board of Governors found to be in noncompliance with its NPT and IAEA safeguards obligations,
• the Security Council of the United Nations has ordered to suspend all activities related to uranium enrichment and plutonium reprocessing; and
• is nevertheless cumulatively approaching the capability to make enrich uranium on an industrial scale.
